Board Member Application

The Directors of 10C Shared Space, a not-for-profit board, are responsible for the oversight of strategy, risk management, social enterprise business model, community programs, financial management, reporting and communications. From time to time 10C has opportunities for new members on its very active and engaged board of Directors. Terms range from 1 to 3 years. A maximum total term of 6 years can be completed by any board member.

The board generally meets at 10 Carden on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. In addition to the regular meetings, there are 2 retreat sessions annually requiring the commitment of a 4-5 hr block of time either on a weekend or weekday, as determined by the team. Email and direct involvement with staff in the area of selected board responsibilities may add another 4-10hrs per month.

If you have an interest in the 10C board, a good place to start is in a voluntary role on a committee of the board. This will let you familiarize yourself with our organization and find a role that you are passionate about. These sub-groups are structured as the Business Model, Telling the Story and Fundraising/Partnership teams.
