Sonia Preisler (they/them)

Sonia has spent the last 10 years working in community engagement, refining their understanding of community outreach and public engagement processes with focus, curiosity, and relentless follow-through in many different sectors. They are constantly thinking about the intersection of good design, community engagement, public spaces, and equity.

Sonia has a BA in International Development and Anthropology from the University of Guelph and an MA in Dispute Resolution from the University of Victoria with a focus on collective memory and commemoration in public spaces.

In their spare time, Sonia loves a dance party (who doesn’t?), reading and cycling, or playing roller derby.
