This mural is part of ‘Full Circle, Places to Grow Community Connection’ a community engaged research project funded through CHCI where 10C engaged local organizations and community builders in dialogues with the goal of creating a localized placemaking toolkit for community use.
This project used the insights gathered from these conversations and funded multiple small scale improvements to local organizations in the hopes of creating more welcoming spaces.
This project supported placemaking improvements for the following organizations:
Silence Sounds
Brant Ave. Neighbourhood Group
Canadian Arab Womens Association
The Somali Community of Guelph
Guelph Tool Library
Grange Hill East Neighbourhood Group
Please join us to celebrate the successes and improvements that we’ve created together. Learn more about the research being done around placemaking in Guelph and the community toolkit we are creating. Guests will be invited to take part in a community engaged mural at 10C to help welcome people into space.
10C is grateful for the support of the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative, Community Foundations of Canada, Canadian Urban Institute, Government of Canada, and the WindsorEssex Community Foundation in funding Full Circle, Places to Grow Community Connection.
