Nourish Café Launch
Food lovers and local food entrepreneurs are invited to join 10C with the launch of the Nourish Café – a new way for Nourish Kitchen members to offer products and meals directly to patrons through a street level café and patio located at 42 Carden Street in downtown Guelph.
Starting August 6, 2024, this social enterprise café will feature Nourish members who will share their unique offerings with the public. The Nourish Café will be offering pre-made meals and sandwiches every weekday, so anyone can pop in and grab a delicious lunch or dinner and support small food businesses in Guelph.
Nourish Café hours are Tuesday to Friday 11:00AM-5:00PM at 42 Carden Street, Guelph, Host Desk.
10C Operations Lead and Kitchen Manager Nathan Lawr says, “We have been working really hard to create a supportive and dynamic eco-system for small food entrepreneurs, supporting them in the early stages of their journey by offering low-cost (and low-risk) kitchen space as well as retail opportunities and providing space for learning and collaborating with other kitchen members. The Nourish Café is the logical next step and it is very exciting to finally be rolling it out. The potential is huge.”
“Activating the main floor space at 10C through food has been on the horizon since the move to 42 Carden back in 2017. We’re excited to take the first steps in creating this new shared space in collaboration with the wonderful food entrepreneurs working in the Nourish Kitchen. We envision that as we build this food offering, we will also help to create more social connections, so needed in today’s society,” says Julia Grady, Executive Director at 10C.
