Wondering how to collect useful impact data through surveys? Are you already collecting survey data and wondering how to make the most of it? In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn the art and science of survey design from an experienced researcher and evaluation practitioner. By exploring real life examples, you will learn what kinds of data can be collected using surveys, how to formulate effective questions that are strategically linked to your outcomes and how to analyze the data you have collected.

Whether you’ve been collecting impact data for years or working to design your first survey, this workshop caters to all skill levels. Gain hands-on experience, invaluable tips, and industry best practices that will make your impact measurement strategy efficient and effective.

This workshop is delivered by Amy Ellard-Gray of Grow Insight Consulting. Amy is a researcher and evaluator with 10 years of experience in the field. She specializes in social and environmental justice projects, helping organizations to make data-driven decisions and tell powerful stories with their data.

In today’s data-driven world, efficiently tracking and measuring impact is crucial for social purpose organizations. This workshop is designed to help introduce participants to Airtable, a database software tool that can help to streamline your data management for impact measurement. During this workshop you will learn the basics of Airtable, how to build and connect data sets and useful tips for creating dashboards to visualize your data and see impact in real time.

The workshop will also explore data availability, framework development, data imports as well as other practical skills that will help you gather and use your organization’s valuable data.

This workshop is delivered by Rye Telfer, Data Specialist with 10C Shared Space and Harvest Impact. Rye has experience working across disciplines such as agriculture and environmental sustainability. Rye loves to engage with data, often examining how we can reveal deeper intersectional insights (or understand the limitations of the data!) and works to infuse quantitative data with an empathetic perspective.

No prior Airtable experience is required – however, you may wish to set up a free account prior to the workshop so you can follow along!

Want to learn more about how your data can be used to craft and tell compelling stories? Join us to explore b.world, an innovative tool that helps you organize and analyze your impact data, transforming complex information into narratives that resonate. The workshop will include a brief demo of key software functionality as well as a hands-on learning experience where you can practice developing measurable impact frameworks and indicators. Gain hands-on experience and discover best practices for making your data work harder for your mission.

This workshop is led by Adina Fudym, Product Manager and Designer at b.world. Adina is a Philadelphia-based design researcher turned product manager with over a decade of consulting experience across many for-profit industries. She supports clients across nonprofit sectors to better understand software capabilities and implement b.world into their impact measurement practices.

Are you stuck measuring only outputs like attendance and activity numbers? It’s time to go beyond the basic metrics and truly understand the impact of your work. This interactive workshop will guide participants through the process of measuring and collecting outcome data, that will help you understand and communicate you impact in new ways. You’ll learn how to design effective outcome indicators, develop data collection tools, and analyze the data to tell a compelling story of change.
