Created in honour of Earth Month, Rooted in Hope brings together diverse works, from quilts and photography to poetry and paintings, that reflect each artist’s connection to nature. The exhibition invites viewers to consider what gives them hope and how hope can be an active force for creating better futures. Through these works, hope emerges as rooted in care, creativity, consistency, and community.
The closing reception of the gallery on Sunday, April 26th, from 12:00 – 2:30 pm will feature a community art workshop, an open, drop-in experience where attendees can explore art-making and artivism together through participating in various art stations. There will be supplies provided, prizes, and locally-sourced light refreshments.
View the show at 42 Carden Street, Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm until April 30.
