Art at 10C: Wildflower Collection

August 2 – August 29

A field of wildflowers grow. The air is still. A warm breeze fills the earth. It’s a sunny day. Radiating on your skin and with its warmth, you start to glow. You see the birds chirping in the sky. The trees sway. Cicadas are rubbing their feet. A buzzing sound comes from heat. A squirrel drinks its coffee. A lamb walks through the land. Its quiet. The quietness fills where you stand. A rabbit collects and bumble bees gather. A lovely sight. Snails find apples. Otters swim in roses and peaches. A mouse pushes a wagon of raspberries. Ducks quack. See tulips. A series of poetry and whimsical illustrations create a warm told tale. Filled with beauty, simple flowers and wonderful parts of nature. These little worlds are created to explore in. A series of what ifs. So, step into various tales and read along.

Dimitra Lupoi is a watercolour artist based in Guelph, Ontario. She is an illustrator that explores in nature, reflecting her adventures through painting. These pieces have been added to the progression of her career.
Exploring in themes suggesting storybook illustrations, has allowed her to find light-hearted beauty in the things in life. Transforming nature from its natural form to whimsical to tell a story. Through nature she expresses this love to create a world she lives in.
Dimitra continues to find hidden beauty to reflect into a tale. By gaining the inspiration from childhood illustrators, she hopes to relieve the minds of her audience.
