Kelly Alexander Psychotherapy
Kelly Alexander

My work as a therapist lies in supporting the nervous system relax and support it in becoming unburdened with all we have had to carry in this world. Often we start our sessions with a grounding to help the nervous system get to a place where it feels safe to look at things. From there you share. With client led therapy I hold compassionate space for you. I work to empower your most wise self to take care of all the parts of you so that you don’t need therapy forever. As an IFS Therapist, Trained Psychedelic Therapist, Feminist and Eco Therapist our sessions are always client led. Please reach out to book a free consultation. As a therapist I welcome all clients, in all bodies, and from all backgrounds. I am 2SLGBTQIA+, Global Majority, Fat, Women & Differently Abled affirming.
Early Bird Disco
Queer Night Out

Sleep is important… but so is dancing with your community! After several direct requests from friends, neighbours, and countrymen for an event that has high energy but early end time, we bring you: the Early Bird Disco.
Head to Revel Cider on Friday, August 15 for cold bevs (non-alcoholic options available), good tunes, and the best part is that once it hits 10pm it’s your choice: call a can and dance into the night… or right into bed!

Laudato Si: Ten Years Still Waiting
Ignatius Jesuit Centre
Laudato Si’ is Pope Francis’ groundbreaking letter on the climate crisis, calling all people to care for our common home. This retreat invites participants into a deeper, more embodied experience of that message—not just as a text, but as a way of being. Guided by poet and spiritual ecologist Greg Kennedy, it blends reflection, creative practice, and engagement with the land. Open to anyone moved by the beauty and pain of the Earth, it offers a space for grounded, meaningful connection and renewal.
Improv Workshop: Scenes & Notes
The Friendly Heretic Theatre

Trial Runners
Ed Video Media Arts Centre

Calling all visceral clowns, earnest wailers, sound sculptors, body poets, etc! TRIAL RUNNERS is an experimental open mic – a low-pressure event for folks who make performances/videos/sounds to try stuff out in front of an audience. Feel like trying something you’re not sure is going to work? Something you’ve never done before? Something a lil too freaky for regular open mics?
Trial Runners will take place at Silence (46 Essex St) on Friday, August 22nd from 7-9pm (doors at 6:30). The venue has a physically accessible front entrance and one gender neutral washroom. The event is $5-10/PWYC.
Introduction to Camera Operation
Ed Video Media Arts Centre

Using a mix of lecture, demonstration and hands-on learning experience, this session will introduce participants to key concepts needed to properly operate a camera for the purposes of capturing video. This workshop will provide information that can be used in the operation of almost any modern video camera or video-capable still camera/device. Highly recommended for anyone who is starting out in video. This is a good primer for those who want to get serious about video, but will also be helpful for hobbyists. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own camera if they have one.
Date: Thursday, September 4th – 6:30-8:30PM
Address: 46 Essex Street, Guelph ON
