Kaelyn was born and raised in Toronto but fell in love with Guelph during her time studying Horticulture at the University of Guelph. She holds degrees from Dalhousie University and the University of Guelph in Commerce and Agriculture respectfully. She is passionate about learning and is always finding some way to remain in a classroom be that getting her yoga instructor certification, learning ASL or taking a woodworking workshop. She is constantly on the hunt for her next chance to learn a new skill.
What motivates her isn’t prestige or titles, it’s impact. She loves the feeling of seeing a plan come together, of helping someone understand something new and creating a process that makes a team’s work smoother. She’s analytical, but she leads with empathy, strategic but she never forgets the human side of the work.
When not in the classroom or at work she is often found reading the latest new fantasy release, binging a whodunit on Netflix, baking whatever she saw lately on TikTok or getting a tan as she tends to her garden.
