Kat started at 10C in November 2023 as a host-desk volunteer, and joined the team the next summer as a Community Engagement Assistant through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Her favourite part about 10C has always been how the bright, energizing environment sparks connection, collaboration, and new ideas. Her role now involves supporting the Opening Opportunities program, coordinating volunteers, event planning, and lending a helping hand throughout the building!
With a background in mathematics and creative writing, Kat loves creatively approaching problem solving, and all aspects of storytelling. She’s passionate about building and strengthening community, environmental sustainability, and the power of the arts in igniting change.
Outside of 10C, you can find Kat spending time with friends, experimenting with different art forms, writing, thrifting, or watching movies.
