Sofia Habib is an actor and arts administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History of Art from University of Toronto, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration and Cultural Management from Humber College. She brings years of experience in communications, operations, and event management in the not-for-profit arts and culture sector to her role at 10C. At the forefront of her work, both professionally and personally, is an unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion in the arts.
Sofia has performed both on screen and stage. In 2024, she wrote and directed her first short film which premiered at the 28th Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival. Sofia is also the Founder and Director of Peaks Central Asian Film Festival, now entering its third year. The organization aims to challenge misinterpretations of the region and fill in the gaps left by Western media.
Sofia enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and meeting new people (sometimes at the same time).
