Why 10C?
Founded in 2008, 10C is a recognized leader in social enterprise and community finance in Canada. Over nearly 20 years, we have built a social enterprise from the ground up, with providing long-term value to our community being the driving goal.
In 2015, 10C launched a community bond offering, raising $2.75 million in local investment to purchase and renovate a 15,000 sq. ft. community hub. Our community bond program continues to generate consistent investment income that supports operations, programs, and long-term financial stability for 10C.
Today, 10C stewards two properties for a total of 40,000 sq. ft. of social-purpose real estate in downtown Guelph. We generate earned revenue through a variety of programs, and space rentals, and continue to diversify our income through social enterprise, partnerships, supporter donations and community investment.
As part of national collaboratives of non-profit and social finance leaders, 10C is actively working to strengthen Canada’s social finance ecosystem, including community orientation, shared tools, policy development, and investment infrastructure.
