About Zoe

From as early as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to clothing that makes me feel something. I’ve always made bold choices, played with colour, pattern and unexpected combinations, and dressed in a way that brought me genuine joy. I never really saw clothing as something I was supposed to “fit into” — it was a way to express who I was.

Over the years, I naturally became the person my friends would gravitate towards when they were stuck on an outfit, needed a second opinion before buying something, or simply wanted someone to go shopping with them. I loved helping them find pieces that made them feel good, and I started to realise that what came naturally to me wasn’t necessarily easy or intuitive for everyone else.

When I moved to Canada in 2009, I was surprised by how much more muted the clothing landscape felt compared to what I was used to in Australia. I missed the colour, personality and sense of fun that I had always found in Australian fashion, so I began sourcing a lot of what I wore from back home.

And it wasn’t unusual for someone to stop me while I was out and say something like, “I love your outfit!” — followed almost immediately by, “But I could never wear that.”

I strongly disagreed.

Because I believe you absolutely can.

You don’t have to be a certain size, age, shape or personality to wear colour. You don’t have to follow trends. And you certainly don’t have to dress the way someone else tells you that you should.

What you do need is to understand what makes you feel comfortable, confident and like yourself.

That belief has stayed with me for years and ultimately became the foundation for Your Style Doula.

I created Your Style Doula because I know how easy it is for clothing to become another source of stress — especially during big life transitions, when your body, your lifestyle, your priorities and even your sense of identity can change.

I’m here to take some of that mental load away.

Whether you’re rebuilding your wardrobe after having a baby, navigating perimenopause or menopause, feeling disconnected from your clothes, or simply wondering when your wardrobe stopped feeling like you, I want to help you find your way back to your personal style.

Because style isn’t about fashion.

It’s about you.

And my goal is to help you create a wardrobe that makes getting dressed feel less overwhelming and a whole lot more joyful — with clothes that work for your real life, your real body and your real personality.

Personal style before fashion or trends. Always
