Join Opening Opportunities and Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis for a workshop series that will help you build skills and awareness for dealing with money in relationships.
About In Your Hands:
In Your Hands is a workshop series designed to support you in building financial independence and recognizing the role money plays in healthy – and unhealthy – relationships. Through open conversation, shared learning, and practical tools, you will explore how to navigate financial decisions with confidence, protect yourself and your family, and feel more empowered to deal with financial challenges in your life and relationships.
The workshop series includes 4 sessions:
- Economic Independence (August 7)
- Finances in Relationships (August 14)
- Protecting Yourself Financially (August 21)
- Having Conversations about Money (August 28)
This series offers a supportive, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for reflection, learning, and connection. Whether you’re rebuilding, seeking clarity, or planning ahead, In Your Hands can help you move forward with strength and support.
Join one session or all four! This registration is for Session 3: Protecting Yourself Financially – where we will build skills to safeguard personal financial well-being. This includes understanding our rights and responsibilities when dealing with financial institutions, and building a personal financial protection plan (with actions and concrete steps).
