Join us for an International Women’s Day community celebration, Sunday March 8, 2026 from 11am-1pm at the Guelph Farmer’s Market (2 Gordon St.).

We’ll be featuring a drag show, performers, community art collaborations and workshops, as well as holding Guelph’s annual Women on the Bridge rally.

High Performance Design Meets Boots on the Ground GUELPH

Evolve Builders Group

Tuesday, March 10, 2026, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the University of Guelph Arboretum
Boots on the Ground, co-presented by Evolve Builders Group and Passive Buildings Canada, brings together leaders from the design and construction fields (and beyond) to share ideas, network and learn about great products that get the job done to produce high performance buildings. Free 16mm Direct Animation Workshop

Join community members and artist Mia Buono for a one-of-a-kind workshop where you’ll animate by hand on 16mm film to create your own short stop-motion piece. Participants will be taught an array of direct animation techniques to scratch, paint, draw, and colour on their film strip, and receive pieces of black, clear, and scrap film to create their own 15 second mini animation. You’ll walk away with new artmaking skills, and after the film has been scanned, a digital copy of your finished piece to share with family and friends!

Fun online study looking for families with children 9-12 years.

Supper Heroes is an online family study where families with children 9-12 years can learn fun, kid-friendly ways to reduce food waste and try more plant-based foods. Parents can earn up to $210 cash and children can get up to $30 in gift cards.

Pollinators & Plant Power

Ontario Society for Environmental Education

Find out what the BUZZ is all about! This workshop highlights teaching activities, hands-on lessons that can help students learn about pollinators. Also find out about important plants to use when creating a pollinator patch/path to use as a living laboratory or outdoor classroom.

Participants will leave with the resources and the confidence to bring back pollinators to your home or schoolyard!

This is a two-day, in-person business intensive designed specifically for artists, makers, and creative entrepreneurs many of whom are running their businesses as side hustles and looking for practical, foundational business education to increase sales and grow sustainably.

30–75 attendees with 45-minute presentations + 15-minute Q&A/transition
Compensation ranges depending on experience and travel. We’re curating sessions around themes such as:
Brand clarity & positioning
In-person merchandising & sales
Sustainable growth as an entrepreneur
Successful sales & communication
E-commerce fundamentals
iPhone photography & content creation
Business & numbers (profit, pricing, taxes basics)
Social media strategy

The learning outcomes listed on the applications are suggestions; however presenters are encouraged to shape their session around their expertise while focusing on 2–3 clear, actionable takeaways tailored to creative-minded entrepreneurs.

Guelph Community Land Trust General Meeting

A group of Guelph residents has begun exploring the creation of a Community Land Trust to secure permanently affordable housing and steward land for long-term community and ecological benefit. This meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the Community Land Trust model, hear about early discussions, and help shape what this could look like in Guelph. A Tribute To Jane Goodall
