Building Hope Together, the Habitat Key Ceremony, is a heartwarming community celebration where 22 families receive the keys to their new Habitat for Humanity homes. Guests can tour the houses, enjoy complimentary food and refreshments, and take part in special activities for all ages. The event also features a “Walk of Hope” and an exciting raffle draw for two WestJet flights. Most importantly, it’s a chance to witness life-changing moments as families step into safe, affordable housing and begin a new chapter of stability.
Take Back the Night 2025!

Take Back the Night is a global rally and march against sexual violence. This is the night we reclaim the streets, show survivors we believe them, and build solidarity against all forms of gender-based violence.
Join us Sept. 18 at 6pm at Marianne’s Park for musical performances by local singer-songwriter CJ Cooper and OPIRG’s Sound of the Drum, as well as wise words from our special guest speaker, Dr. Marsha Hinds Myrie. All are welcome – hope to see you there!

Roots and Renewal: Forest Week at Ignatius

This workshop will serve as an introduction to the art of interviewing and will cover the following: Tips and techniques to find an interview source, How to prepare for an interview, Ethics and objectivity, Active listening and how to best guide the interview, and How to be a bridge in communication between the interviewee and the listener/viewer.

Queer Night Out Weekly Wine Nights

Every Tuesday, find queer community at Two Faces Wine Bar on Carden St in Downtown Guelph. From 7-11pm, grab a drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options availble), meet some new folks, and yap the night away at the coolest spot in town.
Every second Tuesday of the month is BIPOC night – we don’t police identity, but we encourage folks attending to reflect on their own privilege and the environment they’re entering.
