10C Shared Space (10C) is seeking a motivated and collaborative Community Learning Facilitator to join our growing program delivery team. This role supports the design, delivery, and evaluation of our community programs.
Our programs bring together entrepreneurs, community members, and changemakers to learn, collaborate, and create positive social impact. This includes Opening Opportunities, a free entrepreneurship program for women and gender-diverse people facing low-income barriers, food and community wealth-building initiatives, and member-led learning opportunities such as our monthly Breakfast Blend Series.
We’re looking for someone who is organized and creative and enjoys balancing day-to-day program delivery with longer-term planning and development. This role is for you if you enjoy working directly with people and contributing behind the scenes to create meaningful learning experiences.
The Community Learning Assistant reports to the Community Learning Lead and works closely with colleagues across communications, member engagement, events, partnerships, and operations. This collaborative approach means you’ll have opportunities to contribute across a wide range of projects to strengthen 10C’s role as a community learning hub.

Responsibilities of the Community Learning Facilitator include:
Program Delivery (40%): You enjoy bringing people together and creating welcoming, engaging learning experiences. In this role you will:
- Develop community learning event schedules that support program and organizational goals.
- Manage event logistics, including registration, communication with facilitators, room set-up and clean-up, technology, and participant support.
- Facilitate workshops and learning experiences on topics such as entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and community wealth building.
- Help create an inclusive, supportive learning environment where participants feel welcomed and engaged.
Content Development (30%): You have strong writing and visual skills and can develop engaging and interactive educational content that meets the needs of diverse learners. In this role you will:
- Design and develop learning materials, including workshop presentations, courses, facilitator guides, case studies, worksheets, and resource materials.
- Collaborate with the program team to continuously improve and update curriculum based on participant feedback and emerging needs.
- Organize and maintain learning resources so they are accessible and easy to navigate for participants and facilitators.
Promotion & Community Engagement (20%): You can communicate program impact to inspire participation, strengthen partnerships and identify learning opportunities. In this role, you will:
- Develop promotional content for newsletters, social media, websites, and other communication channels
- Coordinate outreach activities to recruit program participants
- Share participant stories and program successes
Program Evaluation (10%): You are curious and detail-oriented and can use data to understand impact and improve programs. In this role, you will:
- Gather, organize, and analyze program data from registrations, surveys, and participant feedback
- Collect and develop compelling participant stories
- Monitor program outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support evaluation activities that demonstrate the social impact of community learning programs
Experience and abilities the Community Learning Facilitator will bring to this role:
- Experience developing and delivering learning content for diverse audiences. Experience working with women, gender-diverse people, people experiencing low-income challenges, newcomers, and/or youth is considered an asset.
- Experience delivering community-based programs in areas such as entrepreneurship, food, employment, skill development, financial literacy, or other community learning initiatives.
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and using data to measure program impact, including developing evaluation tools such as surveys, interview guides, and participant feedback processes.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and experience designing engaging, learner-centred content.
- An understanding of accessibility and inclusive practices in community learning, with a commitment to creating welcoming and equitable learning environments.
- Experience designing digital learning content and supporting participant engagement through online learning platforms.
- A demonstrated ability to take initiative in developing new programs, learning resources, or community initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and improving programs over time.
- Confidence using a variety of digital tools, including Airtable, Google Workspace, Slack, Zeffy (or similar event management platforms), customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and other collaborative software.
- The ability to work on-site at 10C Shared Space (42 Carden Street, Guelph).

Compensation and Details:
- This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with a salary range of $58,000 – $63,000 depending on experience.
- This is an initial 6 month role (September 2026 – March 2027) with the possibility of extension based on funding availability.
- You will have the opportunity to be a part of 10C’s extended health benefits program for you and/or you and your family. Full details about the plan will be through Beneplan/Co-operators after the 3 month probationary period.
- You will be entitled to ten (10) paid days of vacation in each fiscal year of employment, plus 2 paid ‘flex’ days and 3 paid sick days per year.
- The work location is onsite at 10C Shared Space at 42 Carden Street, Guelph with the option for pre-approved work from home days that have been scheduled within the team and ensuring onsite support.

Interviews will take place during the week of August 24, 2026. Anticipated start date is the week of September 7, 2026.

Since 2022, 10C has been activating the Guelph Farmers’ Market with a goal of wider cultural connection, new community uses and increasing local food activities.
