Join us on Saturday October 28, for a 15th Birthday Open House where we will welcome members and the community at 42 Carden Street.

This event is open to the public. No registration is required, walk-ins are welcome.

Visitors will find every corner of the 10C building activated with over 25 member displays, products to sample, and food for purchase. Bump into old friends and get to know someone new!

The 4th floor Nourish Kitchen will be open with food available for sale. Check out this incredible menu:

  • Fresh pasta from Piccolo Farms
  • Pouchai from Ona’s Bakery
  • Tempeh satay and Korean BBQ sliders from Tempeh Goodness
  • Vegan and meat chilis and black bean sliders from Pivate Chef
  • Flat breads from TLK Catering
  • Coffee and cookies from Planet Bean Coffee
  • Cheese and accompaniments from Sweet Cheeses!

Visitors will find displays from these 10C members in every corner of the building:

  • GR365N – Check out the new growing unit, The Eden – an in home vertical garden that can easily feed a family of four their fresh nutritious leafy greens 365 days a year.
  • Beck’s Broth – Sample Beck’s decadent hot chocolate and oh-so-smooth coffee, while discovering the perks of protein and support to your gut health.
  • Omnia Packaging – Learn about and see first-hand Omnia’s 100% recyclable and eco-friendly packaging solutions in plastic and in paper made right here in Guelph.
  • Reimagine Food – Try your hand at making your own beeswax food wrap while learning about community food programs.
  • Canadian Arab Women Association – Visit the CAWA office to learn about how they uplift and enable Arab women, as well as younger girls, to make a positive impact in their own lives, in the lives of their families and in their community at large.
  • Friendlier – Learn about this innovative alternative to single-use food service packaging, and try a Friendlier container as you enjoy food from Nourish Members on 10C’s fourth floor.
  • Eco Brown Box – Get to know their packaging-free, zero waste essentials, including personal care, cleaning and stationary products. They offer a wide range of sustainable products aimed at keeping the health of people and planet as a priority.
  • Chez Sylvie Naturals – Sample and purchase from their range of sustainable botanical skincare products, including therapeutic and meditative items, perfume and soy candles.
  • The SEED – Hear about their community programs and purchase a Souper Hero’s dry soup mix⁠
  • Arrell Food Institute – Learn about some of the projects they are working on at the University of Guelph and within the community⁠
  • Community Engaged Scholarship Institute (CESI) – Find out about the projects, research and community work they are engaged in to advance community-identified research goals.⁠
  • eMERGE – Become empowered and learn how to take action fighting climate change in your day-to-day life.⁠

And, you won’t want to miss these fun, community activities for people of all ages:

  • Treats and giveaways as part of Downtown Guelph’s Trick or Treat! 10C, the Guelph Farmers’ Market and other businesses downtown are participating in this annual event offering early trick or treating.
  • A collaborative, community art project with Jude Akrey, the 2023 City of Guelph Artist in Residence. We will supply the materials and you supply the creativity for this drop-in activity. Together we will create art that represents how we can build a stronger community together.
  • Enter to win a 15th Birthday Prize pack including $100 in Farmers’ Market Dollars.
