10C Shared Space is underway on exciting upgrades to the Guelph Farmers’ Market. Check it out and see what’s happening behind the scenes!
In 2022, 10C began work to revitalize the Guelph Farmers’ Market facilities and grounds. The goal is to improve everything you love about the market. We will do this while transforming the business model to create a multi-use facility that becomes a key regional gathering place and food tourism destination. This will be achieved by infrastructure improvements to the building and vending booths, adding a commercial kitchen, universal and barrier-free washrooms, and developing new programming to increase local food activities and special events.
Phase 1 of the work is already underway and moving along well. Join us to check out the project progress, dream about what might be possible in the new spaces, and share the word about this community-building project.
We will be doing guided tours with people every 30 minutes and collecting ideas and feedback. There is bike parking on site and limited vehicle parking in the back lot and on Freshfield/Farquhar Streets and ample parking in The Market Parkade on Wilson Street (which is free after 6pm).
