Winterhill Garden Rental

Winterhill Farm and Garden

Winterhill Farm and Garden has over 30,000 sq feet of organic growing space (indoor and outdoor) available for rent in 2024! Their gardens sit on top of a hill on the south side of the farm, and offers great sunshine, drainage and amazing views.

Garden rental includes water and waterlines and the use of some tools. If you are looking for space to grow, email winterhillfarm@yahoo.com to book an appointment to come visit the farm and learn more.

Wet’suwet’en Solidarity River Walk and Picnic

Water Watcher’s Decolonial Solidarity Guelph chapter, in collaboration with OPIRG, is hosting a solidarity Walk with Wet’suwet’en on August 14th 6pm – 8pm. Meet Up at the trail behind the Ukrainian Church at 6pm to join in on an evening of community and connection. The walk will be followed up by a picnic at the south side of Royal City Park at 7pm. Snacks will be provided but you’re also welcome to bring your own! The intention of this event is to walk alongside the Eramosa and Speed Rivers, to deepen relations, while also thinking about the health, well-being and threats to the Wedzin Kwa river.

There will be lots of space to socialize, hear from great speakers and take digital actions to call on RBC to divest from funding the Coastal GasLink Pipeline threatening the Wedzin Kwa River.

Introduction to Graphic Design in Illustrator

Participants will learn the principles of graphic design, such as composition, typography, color theory, and layout. Through hands-on exercises and projects, attendees will gain practical skills and knowledge that they can apply to their own design projects.

The Guelph Jazz Festival runs on the energy of volunteers, with up to 100 of them contributing time, energy, talent, and spirit to this world-class event. We are currently recruiting volunteers for the festival proper, 14-17 September, as well as in the lead-up to it. There are volunteer tasks and crews that suit many different interests, experiences, schedules, and capacities in both outdoor and indoor venues.

Job posting: Rental Coordinator

Harcourt Memorial United Church Partnerships/Community Hub Project

This position is currently a six-month contract position; however, the intent is for the position to become permanent. The position is responsible for managing and coordinating all requests and bookings for rental space at Harcourt. There is also an emphasis on exploring and developing community relationships. The hours are varied and flexible.
