Meet the Team: Erin Norsworthy

Posted on: July 21, 2023

Erin Norsworthy is 10C’s Communications Assistant for the summer. In her role she operates the 10C social media, supports various 10C initiatives with graphic design and promotion, and is working on updating the 10C brand guidelines. She is thrilled to be using her design and communications skills to support positive social change.

Erin has had a lifelong passion for sustainability. She has completed a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences at the University of Guelph, specializing in Geography and Ecology, as well as a business certificate. Following the theme of sustainability, Erin has worked in various outreach and marketing positions in the field, including a conservation authority, a circular economy social enterprise, and a provincial park. It is her dream to make sustainability more accessible through design and communications.

10C has been an enriching experience for Erin in many ways, from the opportunity to work for a non-profit enterprise that reflects her values, to the hands-on experience that has developed her marketable skills and expanded her portfolio. Perhaps most importantly, she has been invigorated by the workplace culture. “It is so refreshing to work with so many like-minded, supportive people, in a creative and colourful space, where it feels like both my hard and soft skills are genuinely valuable.”

Beyond this role, Erin hopes to attend a graphic design certificate program in the fall to continue a career that supports a sustainable world, creatively.

You can find Erin on any floor, often cross-legged on the sunroom couches, or petting a dog.

In her spare time, Erin enjoys rock climbing, playing ukulele, and dancing.
