2. Community Welcome
10C is located in the place that is today referred to by some as Guelph, Ontario. We are grateful to exist on the ancestral lands of the Attawandaron, Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee people and the treaty lands and territory of the Mississauguas of the Credit. We thank all of the people who have taken care of and continue to take care of the land. As visitors on the treaty lands of the Dish with One Spoon Covenant, we recognize the significance of this treaty and will work to uphold this agreement to take care of the land and its resources.
As placemakers, we strive to understand the challenges of the past and present, to learn, to unlearn and to take action to better understand our role in perpetuating systemic oppression and causing harm through colonialism, so that we may shape better ways of being as we walk along the path forward.
